How much money will each individual lesson cost me?

Most lessons run between 1 – 1.5 hours long so depending on the aircraft that you are flying, it will be between $200-$300. For an accelerated program, you'll be paying in increments according to our payment plan.

How long are each lessons?

Lessons will vary between 1.5 and 3.5 hours depending on your phase of flight training.

How many times per week should I fly?

Fly several times per week so the training and information stays fresh in your mind. If you cannot fly that often you should expect that your total time will end up a bit longer due to the necessity of spending a bit more time reviewing. Accelerated students should expect to train full time, several hours each day.

What type of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, wire transfer, and all major credit cards.

Do I have to pay for everything upfront?

If you are doing an accelerated program or the professional pilot program it will be paid upfront. If you are only flying 1-3 times per week, you can pay after each lesson.

What steps do I take to start flight training?

You will need to fill out our registration paperwork and set up an appointment with us to apply for the student pilot certificate. We will need to see a US Passport or Birth Certificate before starting flight training. You will need to gain a 3rd class medical before you are allowed to solo the aircraft.

What can I do with my private pilot license?

You can fly your friends and family anywhere in the United States. You cannot charge for transporting people or things. If you are interested in making money by flying, you will need to gain a commercial pilot’s license.

How do I become a commercial pilot?

To gain an unrestricted commercial pilot’s license, you will need to first get your private pilots license, then your instrument rating. You will also need a total of 250 flight hours containing specific requirements before you can apply for a commercial license.

To get paid for flying, do I have to become a commercial pilot?

Yes! As a commercial pilot you are allowed to take money for flying! You can be hired to fly a plane for a private owner, tow banners, fly skydivers, or pipeline patrol just to name a few.

How do I build 1500 hours to apply for an airline?

You can build hours after you get your commercial license by getting paid to fly some of the options listed above. Most people however go on to gain their certified flight instructor rating and build hours by teaching others how to fly!
